What we Believe in
Building on the concept that there is a strong connection between a person, their environment and their occupation, we value the importance of offering services in one’s living and occupational environment.
Individuals fulfill themselves through their accomplishments and therefore, they must maintain an occupational involvement in what they value, what sparks their interest and what gives meaning to their life.
We believe that rigor, experience, and passion for work are fundamental components for a rich intervention. We strive for quality service based on respect and integrity for our clients and employees.

Occupational Therapy
Frequently asked questions
Occupational therapy is a health care profession that promotes health and well-being through occupation. The main goal of occupational therapy is to give everyone the opportunity to participate in daily activities. Occupational therapists receive extensive training that provides them with the knowledge and skills to work with people of all ages who have physical or functional deficits and who face barriers to participation. These barriers may result from injury to body structure, change in functional ability, or social and environmental barriers.
Occupational therapists use a systematic approach based on scientific evidence and professional reasoning to enable individuals, groups or communities to develop skills and consider ways to target and participate in occupations of their choice and to improve their functional abilities. This process involves assessment and intervention with clients to identify and enhance their occupational performance in the areas of self-care, work, education, volunteer activities and leisure. Occupational therapists can provide sound advice on occupational health, health promotion and active living programs for older adults. Occupational therapists provide direct professional services; they may also serve as managers, researchers, program developers or educators.
Occupational therapists are usually employed by community agencies, health care organizations such as hospitals, long-term care facilities, rehabilitation centers and clinics, educational settings, and social service agencies. They also work in private clinics or are self-employed. Some occupational therapists work with certain age groups or types of clients who have specific deficits, such as arthritis, mental health problems or spinal cord injuries.
